Lantang Valley Trek

Lantang Trekking is nearest trekking route from Kathmandu and easily accessible. It is 19 miles away from Kathmandu near the Tibetan border. Langtang Lirung(7246m) is the highest peak of this region.This route is famous for superb view of natural beauty. This beautiful alpine valley is sandwiched between high mountain range is north and low snowy peaks on south. There is Lantang National Park is southern part of this valley. This route ends with Gousainkunda pass which falls under Lantang National Park. This valley has something different to offer from other places. It gives tourists chance to explore villages and understand lifestyle, view mountain up-close, visit mountain glaciers at comforting low elevation/altitude. We can view mountain like Lantang lirung, Gang Chhenpo, Naya Kangri and Dorjee lakpa. We also can view Ganesh himal range on way to Gousainkunda.

This place is shelter to migratory birds, musk deer (Moschus chrysogaster) and Himalayan tahr (Hemitragus jemlahicus), Himalayan black beer (selenarctos thibetanus), snow leopard (panthera uncia), wild god (cuon alpinus), ghoral (Nemorhedus goral) serow (capricornis sumantrenis) and more than 250 species of birds. Many migratory birds also take shelter in this region. The  national park home to world rarest animals panda (Ailurus fulgens) and wild dogs. The Lantang National Park is known for rarest animal red panda and number research are ongoing in this place.The majority of population is Tamang, Yolmo and Bhotia each believed to be originated from Tibet. They are mainly buddhist from religion. The culture of this region is also another attraction.Although, there are many Gumpa(buddhist temple), Kanjin Gumpa and sing Gumpa are main cultural heritages on this route. Gousainkunda is religiously important lake to Hindu. There is 108 small and big kunda(lake/pond) in Gousainkunda which main attraction of this region

Day 05- Trek to Langtang Valley.
Day 06- Trek to Kanjin Gumpa.
Day 07- Rest and take short hikes.
Day 08- Trek Back to Lama Hotel.
Day 09- Trek to Syabru Besi.
Day 10- Drive Back to Kathmandu..
Day 11- Free day in Kathmandu.
Day 12- Transfer to International airport for your final departure.
