Mt. Pumori

This stunning peak lies in the upper Khumbu region of Nepal. The peak is on the border of Nepal and Tibet.

Mount Pumori is one of the premier 7,000M peaks in the Everest region of Nepal. The route follows the Southeast buttress before it traverses to the East Ridge for the remainder of the ascent. 

Requiring excellent physical endurance, Mount Pumori offers sections of wild exposure,  views of Lhotse and Everest, with technical difficulty worthy of any Himalayan alpinist. Mount Pumori is a serious expedition peak designed only for experienced climbers.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu international airport, transfer to hotel.
As soon as you arrive in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed and received by our representative at the Kathmandu International Airport and subsequently our representive will transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day, you can either relax or go around as per your desire and overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02 - 03: Kathmandu for the official procedure, overnight at hotel.
Stay in Kathmandu for two days. You can go around Kathmandu City for sightseeing or prepare for the expedition. For these two days all you need to do is check required equipments, learn to use the equipments, study maps and every other required stuffs to make sure that your expedition will be successful one.

Day 04: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding.
Today we will take flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2827m) which takes around 40 minutes. From the flight, we will witness close views of enormous peaks connecting Nepal and Tibet. We will arrive at Lukla in the afternoon and we begin walking take up the major way that leads to Namche Bazaar which is located just above Chaunrikharka (2713m). The path is trouble-free and after passing the tiny village of Ghat (2550m)  we take a short walk to Phakding.

Day 05: Trek to Namche Bazaar.
From Phakding, we go ahead with a slight climb to Jorsale we move further from a waterfall. Now, the trails of villages are united with wonderful forest of giant firs, rhododendron and magnolia trees. Afterward, we walk to Namche and cross few bridges and then go up few hundred meters and another steeper way up through the jungle. We walk for 4 hours and stay at Lodge.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.
We have a rest day in Namche Bazaar for getting used to in the height. Namche is a village situated in a large protected hollow. Over the village, there is a national park headquarters where one can view both the sunrise and sunset scenes. The wonderful vista includes scenery of the Khumbu peaks and fascinating views of Everest. After breakfast, we can either set off for a walk to Thami (3810m) over the arresting Bhote Khola River Valley or walk off to the national park headquarters to sight the unique Sherpa way of life and culture. 

Day 07: Trek to Tyangboche.
Today our track moves on from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche. On the way, while ascending you will witness the perfect view of world highest peak- Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku and other several huge mountains which will thrill and excite you.

Day 10: Trek to Dingboche.
The path moves down to Debouche which come across the suspension bridge over the Imja Khola and ascends to Pangboche between thousands of Mani stones. We can spot huge view of Ama Dablam and the path up to the upstream nearer to Imja River rather moderate up to Imja valley. Now the way move to Dingboche, the Sherpa settlement with the eye-catching field. We stay at guesthouse at night.

Day 11: Trek to Lobuche.
At the peak, Cholatse and Taweche hit us with its picture which appears to incline ahead from crossways to the gorge in the west. In the north side, Lobuche Peak (6119m) and the snowfield of Cho La is recognized. Then, we come across the Khumbu River at Dughla (4620m). The incredible view of Pumori (7145m) and we come across the border in Tibet. Overnight at lodge.

Day 12: Trek to Pumori Base Camp.
High climb starts at 5,300m; which is next to a stunning small lake from where you can get a stunning sight of Mt. Everest and Kalapthar at 5545m. Overnight at the tented camp.

Day 11-29 Climbing Period.
We take 18 days to reach at the summit of the Pumori Peak. To set our Camp I it takes 4 hrs walk after that you will have to walk 500m with the altitude around 35 to 65 degrees slopes. Pumori peak has many rocks and mixed ascend cross, vertical and exposed to airstream narrow edges, one tunnel climbs and some ice walls. We start from 6200m to reach to Camp II. It is located on a slim edge; so there is no terror of storms. We have an ice ascend of 400m and above 5000m we can see the ice walls, many crevasses etc. Talking about Camp III, it is too stormy. Lying at the elevation of 6850m, here you can observe Tibetan plateau; and you require rope here many ice walls and crevasses will come on the way to summit. Subsequently there are two ascending ranges- Tibet side and Nepal side and between these sides Nepal side is much easier to reach to the summit of Mount Pumori.

Day 30: Trek to Pangboche.
Now we take a little unusual way down to Orsho and then continue walking to Phorche. Leaving peak at our back, our drop takes us through Tengboche Monastery (3860 m).

Day 31: Trek to Namche Bazaar.
Our route continuously moves back to the town of Namche Bazaar (3441m). And then reach to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 32: Trek to Lukla.
Today, we return back to Lukla  and see different Sherpa villages while crossing a suspension bridge over Thado Kosh. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 33: Fly back to Katmandu.
On this day, we wake up early in the morning to take the flight for retracing back to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu we will transfer to the hotel.

Day 34: Leisure day in Kathmandu, overnight at hotel.
Today you have a rest day in Kathmandu. Or, alternatively explore around Kathmandu valley which includes visit around historical and spiritual attractions; including Durbar Square, Bauddhanath; one of the largest stupas in Nepal, Swayambhunath; top on the hill in the city knows as the Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath; Hindus holy place. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 35: Transfer to airport, departure on your own destination.
Our airport representative will shift you to the airport from the hotel for your way back to home country.
