Pikey Trek

The Pikey Trek is a comfortable trekking route in Solu village with Pikey Peak 4,068 m being one of the tallest mountains of Solu (lowland of Everest Region). The name Pikey is derived from the two names of the Sherpa people. The Pikey trek is well known for majestic sunrises, the Himalayan range and of course sherpa culture.This trail through winds its way through Jiri, Chaulakharka and Ngaur, to reach the Pikey Danda (Hill) area. Another trail leads from Pikey Danda to Phaplu through Panch Pokari and Tamakhani which is located north east from the district center of Salleri.

The Pikey Trek is most popular for its sunrise and sunsets and views of the Himalayan range of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjungha, Annapurna, Gauri Shankar, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Nuptse, Amadablam, Numbur, Khatang, Karyalung, Shishapangma, Mera Peak and Thamserku. The Pike Trek Base Camp trekking is one of the popular trekking trails in Everest region and probably one of the lower elevation view points to see  8848m Mt Everest. The Pikey trek is popular for the wonderful Himalayan scenery including the mountains range as well as Rhododendron flower, Magnolia and wild orchids.  Festival season is in August which includes a cleansing ritual; thousand of devotees walk to the lake for the festival from village all around Solukhumbu.

Day 01.           Arrive in Kathmandu International airport and transfer to Hotel. (1400m)(Our staff will representing for pick up you with private vehicle)

Day 02.           Kathmandu City sight seeing:

  (After your breakfast our city guide will pick up you from hotel to Pashupatinath and Baudhanath), after lunch you have to check your trekking and climbing gears and manage.

Day 03.           Drive Bhandar, 8hrs: (2190m) (Dholalghar, khandi chaur, Kharidunga, Charikot, Tamakoshi, Jiri, Those bazar.) After breakfast we departure to Jagat east direction from Kathmandu with very beautiful natural seeniry. You can see many Mountain as Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh Himal, Mt. Langtang, Dorjelakpa, Mt, Gaurishankar, Mt. Melungtse, Mt. Numbur as surrounding, rivers and waterfalls for green hills etc. It will take 7-8hrs,
 

Day 04.           Trek to Kinja, 5hrs: (1720m) (It is normal day walking and sightseeing as botanical Flora and Fauna wild birds and local cultures as Sherpa, Rai and other.

Day 05.           Trek to Bull-danda 5hrs: 2590m. (We have to accent up crossing Sherpa village and green bush and seeing as natural beauty white mountain Gourishankar, Numbur, Langtang Ganesh himal, many Green hills and many more/Sherpa                                       cultures/village walk.

Day 06.           Trek to Gole La 6hrs  3420m (It is top of village and “La” mean col’  same view with different angle/Yak shelter with Sherpa peoples/Tropical jungle walk. 5hrs

Day 07.           Trek to Naur.6hrs  3570m (Khumbu range, Numbur and many more/Sherpa village/mix walk)

Day 08.           Trek to Pikey Hill 5hrs. 4068m (surrounding peak as Kanjanjunga, Makalu, Mt. Everest, shelter, Jungle walk)

Day 09.           Rest day (Early morning sunrise/sunset view)

Day 19.           Trek to Jhapre 6hrs. 2800m. (Kanchanjunga, Makalu, Mt. Everest/ free walking in rhododendron, pine and mix                                         forest/whole day descend down.

Day 11.           Trek to Jhantar Dhab 6hrs (2130m) (Playing with mountain scenery/some time hiding in Himalayan bush and some where sherpas, Tamangs, Manger village).

Day 12.           Drive to Kathmandu. Very nice view point for Mt. Everest, Lhotshe, Makalu, Kangchanjunga, and many more. Via.

Day 13.           Day free in Kathmandu for rest and shopping

Day 14.           Departure:
